Mike didn't just start a business — he built something real. From a kitchen in the Arizona desert, he turned chocolate and gummies into something people genuinely loved. Not because it was trendy, but because every product carried his stubborn insistence on quality.
He believed that what you put into your body matters. That ingredients should be honest, flavors should be bold, and that a chocolate bar could actually make someone's day a little better. He was right.
Mike was the kind of person who remembered your name, your order, and your dog's name too. He showed up for people. He built Hippie Chicks the same way — by showing up, doing the work, and giving a damn about the details that most people skip.
"The best things in life are made with love, patience, and a little bit of rebellion."
He leaves behind more than products. He leaves a community of people who found something they trusted, made by someone who cared. That doesn't go away.
This page is for Mike — and for anyone who knew him, learned from him, or was just glad he existed. If you have a story, a memory, or even just a thought, we'd like to hear it.
Memories of Mike
OMG! , I am devastated that we lost such an amazing person. I never got to meet Mike and now I’m so sorry I never made the trip down to Scottsdale to talk to him in person.
We shared many emails about orders and he was so quick witted and we had a great time bantering back and forth. He was so funny and had the best sense of humor. I’m so sorry for his loss and I will miss his fun loving nature. I feel blessed to have had that connection with him, even if was only for a short period of time. My husband passed away in May and he had that same sense of humor. I hope Mike and Nick are having a blast together! RIP and keep having fun where ever you may be now!

It is still hard for me to write this because Mike was a very close friend we talked about everything he was always the person I would call when I was trying to navigate business decisions for both of us. I would do things for him that I would never do for anyone. I met Mike at a Pack Expo event in Vegas 2018 and my smart ass met him at the Pack leader booth and when I seen his name tag I said hey mister Scottsdale how are you doing? He said he was looking to buy a labeler because all of the people he met said they had a shop and he would visit them and they were in there garage doing filling for products and those who know Mike knows that if it was done perfect he would not do it. We had a real shop and started doing his CBD tinctures about a month after we met him, we did his bong water, and many other products. Him and I would go to my shop on weekends and work on his formula for the lotion, I later sent him equipment that he could use for the formula so he could control it. When I got the call from his Mother I was devastated, We then helped coordinate helping her move all of his stuff out of his unit so that she didn't have to stress out over her loss of her son. in 2025 we took Mike on a Cruise with us so that he could relax and have time to reset we carried that silly bird around with us and took photos so he could add them to Instagram for hippie chicks. He will truly be missed and can never be replaced.

Mike was kind, generous, more brilliant than he would let on to most, and above all he was a dear friend. He always made time to talk, be it his wealth of medical knowledge, interesting stories or discuss business ideas. He was always willing to help others and find ways to improve their well being. I’ll never forget all he did for my mom while going through cancer treatment. Blessed to have known him and I will miss him greatly!

My son worked for Mike and he loved Mike dearly. Obviously, he's devastated with Mike's passing, as are so many others. Sadly, I never met Mike. My son spoke of him all the time! Nothing but wonderful words of what a kind, caring, and giving person Mike was. I couldn't have hoped for a better "boss"/mentor/friend for my son. Had hoped to thank him in person one day. RIP Mike💜💜💜and thank you for being so good to my son.

He was the most concerned Dr we have ever been to. He was always informed and willing to listen and give advice when you needed his five cents of wisdom. He will be hard to replace as a Biomechanics doctor.

Mike and I shared an office for many years, and he became a dear friend. I witnessed his many remarkable qualities firsthand, especially his unforgettable smile, which brought warmth and happiness to each day. As a gifted chiropractor, he was passionate about educating patients and helping them understand their health and pain. He quickly put people at ease and earned their trust. Whenever someone needed help, Mike was always there.
I loved Mike deeply, and I will always remember and miss him. His kindness and empathy were gifts to those in pain. He lived with purpose, touched countless lives, and made the world better through his commitment to helping others live without pain.
I am so grateful for the laughter, memories and conversations. I will see you smiling from afar!

I'm just so in shock.. .... Mike was an incredible human being. He was so knowledgeable about a lot of things and he shared his wisdom, experiences and more to help others. He was so honest, sincere, fun-loving and an amazing chiropractor. He knew the right treatments and the kindest way to deliver chiropractic care combined with conversation and genuine warmth in his words of helping to take care of you. He took the time, he gave his best and he always shared his humor and his passions. What a blessing to be able to have known him and to have received his care that he so kindly gave. Rest in Peace Mike.....you are so dearly missed.

I never had the chance to meet Mike in person, but after I did a collab for Hippy Chicks, we became TikTok friends. It still amazes me how you can genuinely connect with someone without ever even knowing what they look like.
Every time I posted a funny video with my husband, Mike would respond with a “LOL” and tell me, “You guys make some of the best videos.” Whether I sent him something funny, serious, philosophical, or just completely off-the-wall, Mike always responded. We would send videos back and forth, and somehow we would often find ourselves watching the same kinds of videos and running into each other in the comment sections. I knew I could send something to Mike and he would get it, engage with it, and never judge.
We even had our little running jokes. One that makes me smile was our conversation about the old “Ancient Chinese Secret” Calgon commercial and Mike joking about trying to explain it to his kids. Those seemingly small conversations are the things you don’t realize you’re going to miss.
Mike was also incredibly generous and thoughtful with my husband and me. He sent us so many wonderful Hippy Chicks products to try, and we talked about doing more collaborations when Hippy Chicks returned to TikTok Shop. I remember him telling me about the pickle gummies he was working on and saying he would send me some once he got them figured out. I always enjoyed hearing about whatever he was creating next.
And then there were the likes. Anyone who spends a lot of time creating on social media will understand how meaningful this can become. Mike was so often one of the very first people to like my videos, especially the ones with my dogs. I became accustomed to seeing that little Hippy Chicks logo appear in my notifications. I’ll genuinely miss seeing it there and knowing Mike had stopped by.
Looking back, I wish I had pursued more of the things we talked about. I thought there would be more conversations, more funny videos, more collaborations, and eventually the opportunity to meet him. I think that’s one of the strangest things about losing an online friend you don’t realize how much of a familiar presence someone has become in your everyday world until suddenly that presence isn’t there.
I feel very fortunate that our paths crossed at all.
I wish Mike well, and may his path toward his new destiny be filled with light. I’m choosing to send him light and love rather than sadness. 💫💛
To Mike’s family and the entire Hippy Chicks family, I’m sending love, positive energy, and my deepest condolences during this time.
MayTheBlessingsBe 💛
